Looking to escape from the same old same? We’ve introduced a new concept that will help our guests brave the cold winter and springtime temperatures. Our Rooftop Igloo Bar is now open. Enjoy a few cocktails with friends as you look out at the city skyline. Rob Saunders, our general manager of The Envoy’s Outlook Kitchen and Lookout Rooftop & Bar said, “We wanted ways to utilize the rooftop and draw some attention to the hotel. We’re giving people an opportunity to be outside and drinking in the wintertime, and to do it in a kind of cool way. We’re definitely excited.”

The lit, heated “Igloos” are open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 4 to 10 p.m. While whole igloos can be reserved for private events, they’re primarily given out on a first-come, first serve basis, so you’ll want to arrive early to make sure one is available. There are a total of six igloos open for guests, with each one seating 8 to 10 people comfortably.  Since the bar is located inside the hotel, there’s a switch that will alert your cocktail server when you need more drinks.

We’re not the only ones offering this new, igloo concept, but we’re continuing to innovate and improve upon any and all ideas. So far, our guests have been quite enthusiastic about the new opportunity. The Lookout Bar currently only offers drinks, but customers can also get food downstairs at our Outlook Kitchen & Bar, which offers full food service. Don’t wait too long to visit though. The rooftop reopens in spring for the season, and the igloos will only be available until April 15th.

The Envoy’s radiating, modern building is topped by our premier Rooftop Bar. With true panoramic views of the Boston harbor and skyline, it’s truly an unmatched experience. The uniquely shaped bar offers intimate seating areas with glowing fire pits. With built-in overhead heaters, house-made craft cocktails, and an innovative bar menu, there’s something special for everyone.

Our Live Music Series continues on into March, with acoustic style music on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Make sure to plan ahead to come see us and these lovely, talented artists. Waterfront dining doesn’t get much better. Whether you’re stopping by for drinks or to eat dinner, the dining options available at The Envoy Hotel are versatile, yet unique. If you haven’t been in before, we’d love to have you by. Locals come in often for dinner, as well as guests staying at the hotel.
